Week 3: God Loves His People- And He Shows Egypt!
Lesson Objective:
God wants Pharoah to let his people go so they can worship him. He shows Pharoah that he is powerful by sending plagues to Egypt!
Bible Passage:
Exodus 8:1-15 (Plague of frogs)
Memory Verse:
Exodus 8:1-2 - He said to Moses; 'Go to the palace and tell the king of Egypt that I order him to let my people go, so they can worship me. If he refuses, I will cover his entire country with frogs!'
Story Idea: Frog Hunt & Tell it!
Before the lesson:
- Download, print and cut out some frogs, then hide them around the room with blue tack
- Gather a crown and robe from the costume cupboard
To introduce:
- Ask the kids if they can remember last weeks lesson, and prompt them to remember that God showed Moses that He was powerful by changing the stick into a snake and that God would help Moses to rescue His people
- Remind them that a miracle is something amazing that God does
- Have the kids hunt around the room to find all of the frogs

​Have the kids read Exodus 8:1-15
Quiz Questions:

1. Did the king want to let God's people go? No
2. What did Moses say would happen if the king wouldn't let the people go? There would be frogs EVERYWHERE!
3. What did the king say when there were frogs EVERYWHERE? If God gets rid of the frogs, I'll let the people go and offer sacrifices to God
4. Was God able to get rid of the frogs? Yes
5. Do you think God filling Egypt with frogs, then getting rid of them is a miracle? Yes
6. What does that tell you about God? He is powerful
7. Why do you think God wanted to save His people from Egypt? Because He loves them
8. Did the King let the people go after that? No
9. God is powerful and He loves His people - do you think He will stop there? No
Craft Idea: Frog Craft!

Before the lesson:
- Download and print the frog outlines on dark green card and the frog bellies and lillypads on lighter green card and cut out
- Make a cut in the centre of the frogs mouth for the party blower
- Cut a series of circles from yellow paper
- Gather glue, pens, paddle pops, red party blowers and either googley eyes or black and white paper
Have the kids:
- Stick eyes (googley or cut from paper), bellies, lillies and spots on their frogs
- Put the party blower through the mouth
- Decorate with pens/pencils
Activity Idea: Frog Cupcakes!

- Make a batch of cupcakes and green icing
- Gather smarties and other candy for decorating
Have the kids:
Ice and decorate their cupcakes
